*stunned (but happy) silence*

*unstunns robbie* thank you so much! I'm so happy with how the turned out cant wait to do more and the lighting is perfect for beauty shots with female models, just need to find me some lol
I hope you don't mind my asking -- and I probably don't know anything about it, really -- but do you have these pix watermarked or whatever they call it-- digitally, so no one can scoop them off Vox and use them for their own? Your work is so good -- it ought to be protected -- it's the kind of thing that some unscrupulous people could make money form. I don't know how it works but I know there are programs out there that will "mark" them in batches. Or do you already?
you're right but I so hate watermarks!! maybe I need to print my name on the bottom of each, but it's a pain and the fact that i have to convert all of em from raw files and all, most of the sites i show on like flkr and modelmayhem where I find the models the rights are held by the photographer and I also have the meta data for the shoots if anything comes up, but you;re so right I need to find some way of protecting them :( . do you know how to batch process in photoshop? if i did that all the images that i do i can just dump em and have ps right my name on all
Oh, gosh - no - I have only a tiny version of Photoshop - Elements 3 -- don't know if it does that, but I'll look. I've never bothered with marking any of mine (for obvious reasons, lol!!) so I don't know anything about it. Do the watermarks "show" - ? Or are the digitally embedded?
You're probably OK as is, but I just hate to think of someone unfairly benefitting from your talent and effort -- it's so easy to "drag" images off the internet!!
I'd like to know if there are digital embed ones and those would be awesome, cause the regular watermarks show, most photographers i know but their names at the bottom so as not to ruin the image cause even though a big watermark across the picture protects it it just looks ugly. and you're right! if im not making anything off this no one should
Jus tlooked- I fdon't see it on my version -- but there's a bunch of stuff I don't understand (yet!!) on the files themselves and metadata and how to add info. Not much help; sorry....
Oh!! yes, there's lot of info on digital watermarking, if you put that or "image watermark" in Google.Image files can have info addded to them (I guess that's the metadata?)-- I found info on how to add your info on stuff to be added to Flickr -- and small freeware programs that do that digitally. Also, something called "right-click disabling," so that people can't just click your image to life on their system.
yeah all my meta data has the info from the shoot and such but the right click disabling sound waaaaaay promising thats the easiest way to get photos off a site
[this is good]
kicking fucking ass. yeah these are great all of them. woot
"Mac" people can just drag, don't need to right click. I can drag any image off a site and add it to my files. Maybe that's why they came up with other ways?
Oh -- but they end up only as big as they were on-screen, so maybe it's ok?
I had no idea macs did that and I have one!,one thign with my image when you click them twice they enlarge to a really good print out size :( waay too much processing I tell you, first I have to upload the original raw files then put those on a disk , then convert them to raw, and then resize to 2200x2200 pixels since one of the sites I submit to only accepts that format then I have to resize down to 1000x1000 for the place i have my model port so i just end up using that same size for vox poopy, maybe if i make em smaller it will be ok, but i like people to see em big too haha grr @ me :(
I just sent you soemthing.

Hold your cursor down on an image and drag it to your desktop -- simple move. And I just did it with the large size of these, that are here. Having the intensely packed pixel version (2200x2200) probably would slow down a lot of people, but I guess it might be good to protect the other things. It's not just the fine-ness of your images, the clarity and printability of them, it's the composition, th artistry of the lighting, etc - -- you know? I thknk they're valuable.
my teacher was always telling us never do a good resolution picture online most people do really small ones, for egg that 2200x2200 right there would make a pretty good small print and youre right after doing so much work just to have it stolen urgh pisses me off
Oh, sorry -- (((hugs))) --
hope I can find away around it or im going to throw wild cats at the people who try to steal my work
You'll find a way - there are lots of methods out there, I think.
And not that many rotten people.

Did you see the image I "made" -- ?
Have you tried the "dragging onto the desktop" -- ?
I just dragged a .gif from an email and loaded it into Vox...worked fine, animation and all. And I didn't even have to open it or antyhing. Cool tool.
yeah i had no idea us mac peeps could do that! sheesh we really have life easier than windows peeps
